Riemer Gallery

The Riemer Gallery is located in a renovated town house in the old part of the town. The gallery displays a permanent collection of the entrepreneur Franc Riemer from Konjice and the Konjice Museum. The permanent collection also displays paintings from the early Renaissance up to today. The oldest painting dates as far back as the 15th century. The most precious painting is the Venetian school of Leonardo da Vinci. Moreover, the gallery includes works of artists such as Cezanne, Klimt, Rodin, Modigliani, Velasquez, a self-portrait of Ivana Kobilica, Tisnikar, paintings by Rihard Jakopič and many others. A special collecting passion of Franc Riemer is antique furniture, of which the nicest item is a two hundred year old white elephant from the MiraMare Castle and a cabinet with a hidden drawer that used to be owned by Slovenian poet Oton Župančič.
